Delivered by a qualified paramedic with real-world frontline experience
Certificate valid for 3 years
HSE compliant
FAIB accredited
Suitable for workplaces, but valuable for anyone wanting to learn essential first aid skills

The course includes:

The role and responsibilities of a first aider
CPR
Safe use of an AED (defibrillator)
DR ABC assessment
Recovery position
Wound care
Medical emergencies, including choking, fainting, shock and seizures

We were given enough time to ask questions, being shown what to do at a pace that wasn’t rushed. Having the dummies to practice on made it good to know what to do and being able to get the real experience of what to expect in a real life situation. There were drinks provided which was also nice. We also did some group work which was a nice opportunity to talk to others about their experiences and knowledge. I went home feeling more confident in safety for younger children.
